**Smoke Alarm Safety Reminder from Auburn NY Fire Department**

Auburn, NY – The Auburn NY Fire Department has issued a reminder for families regarding the importance of smoke alarms in the home. With today being the last day of Fire Prevention Week, the department encourages residents to ensure their smoke alarms are functioning properly.

To aid families in this effort, the department has provided a chart to track the monthly testing of smoke alarms. Families are advised to test their smoke alarms once a month and document whether they worked.

The chart includes space for each month from October to September, allowing families to note when they tested their smoke alarms and if they were operational.

For more information, residents can visit sparky.org, a resource from the National Fire Protection Association.

Residents are reminded that regular testing of smoke alarms can save lives and help ensure safety in their homes.
