Cayuga County Encourages Handwashing for Better Health

In Cayuga County, health officials stress the importance of handwashing, especially during key times. It is recommended to wash hands after using the bathroom and before eating to reduce the spread of germs. As highlighted by the Cayuga County Health Department, germs are found everywhere, particularly on our hands and surfaces we frequently touch.
In celebration of #GlobalHandwashingDay, residents are encouraged to make handwashing with soap a regular habit to promote better health. For more information on proper handwashing techniques and practices, visit the CDC's website at www.cdc.gov/clean-hands.
