**Cayuga County Celebrates Walk & Roll to School Day 2024**

Cayuga County recently wrapped up its Walk to School Days for the year, with nearly 1,000 students participating along with some additional bikers and scooter riders. The event took place across various elementary schools in the county.

During the event, students engaged in a scavenger hunt that involved locating traffic signs and crosswalks. They also learned important pedestrian safety rules. Organizers emphasized that the event was not only educational but also a fun way to encourage physical activity among children.

Participants were welcomed at school with smiles and received prizes, including freshly picked apples.

Looking ahead, the county plans to host a Bike and Roll to School Day in the spring.

- Weedsport Central School District

- Port Byron Central School District

- Moravia Central School District
