**Yates County Sheriff's Office Reports DWI Arrest**
On October 11, 2024, at 10:17 PM, Yates County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Daniel A. Dematties, a 35-year-old resident of Geneva, NY, for driving while intoxicated (DWI) on Pre-Emption Road in the Town of Benton.
During a traffic stop, Dematties underwent standardized field sobriety tests, which led to his arrest. He faces several charges, including DWI Common Law, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater, speeding in a 55 mph zone, following too closely, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license (AUO 3rd).
Dematties was transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building for a chemical test and was later released with tickets to appear in Benton Town Court at a future date.
The incident was reported by Sgt. D. Chisom, along with deputies Lane and Schenck. The report was submitted on October 12, 2024, at 4:10 AM.
