Geneva extends yard debris pickup through July 3
The City of Geneva Department of Public Works said it is extending its Spring Yard Debris Pick-up Program through July 3 in response to last week’s significant wind storm.
Under the temporary extended hours, the Public Works program will run on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. through July 3.
The city said it will accept tree limbs, brush, and yard debris. It will not accept trash, plastic, or recyclables during the extended pickup program.
For residents who need to dispose of items such as trash, plastic, or recyclables, the city said the Resource Recovery Park will remain available during regular operating hours on Thursdays and Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the facility closed from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch.
The city said DPW crews will continue working throughout the community to support cleanup efforts following the storm.
In a posted message, Geneva thanked residents for their patience and cooperation as cleanup continues.
