Geneva Officers Under Investigation, Placed on Leave

City of Geneva Police in Geneva, New York released statements answering frequently asked questions related to an ongoing criminal investigation and administrative leave of two officers. According to the statement, the affected officers are Sergeant David Felice and Officer Nathan Jacon. They have both been placed on administrative leave as they are under investigation.

The police explained that a criminal investigation is the law enforcement process used to gather, analyze, and preserve evidence to determine whether a crime has taken place, identify those responsible, and build a case for prosecution. Administrative leave is described as a temporary leave of absence from duty, typically used when an officer is involved in a serious incident or under investigation.
