In the Washington Street Cemetery, two individuals are commemorated for their contributions to the community.

James H. Cushing passed away on June 23, 1864, at the age of 63 years and 3 months. His wife, Olive A. Cushing, died later on February 5, 1891, at the age of 74 years and 10 days.

Recently, fifth-grade students from Geneva City Schools participated in a field trip to the cemetery. The trip was facilitated by Anne Dealy from Historic Geneva, providing students with a hands-on history lesson. The school expressed gratitude to the parent volunteers who assisted during the event.
